The Chartered Institute of Public Relations (CIPR) is the UK’s leading public relations professional body and was founded in 1948. Today it has over 9,500 members, including more than 600 in the North West.

The CIPR represents and serves the interests of people working in public relations in the UK and overseas. We offer access to information, advice and support, and provides networking and training opportunities through a wide variety of events, conferences and workshops.

We’re about developing skills, raising awareness, rewarding excellence, supporting members and giving public relations a voice at the highest levels. CIPR staff are dedicated to providing support for our members and enhancing the professional reputation of the industry.

Our aim is to:

• Provide opportunities for members to meet and exchange views and ideas
• Raise standards within the profession through the promotion of best practice
